What growth capital covers.

Growth capital is for the moves that change the trajectory of your business. Not day-to-day operations — the investments that create step-function growth.

New Locations

Open a second, third, or tenth location. Cover buildout, leasehold improvements, initial inventory, and staffing for the launch phase.

Acquisitions

Acquire a competitor or complementary business. Consolidate market share, absorb their customer base, and grow through M&A.

Large Marketing Campaigns

Fund a major brand push, digital campaign, or market entry. The kind of spend that moves the needle on revenue within a quarter.

Hiring & Team Building

Recruit aggressively. Cover salaries, benefits, and onboarding costs while new revenue catches up to the expanded headcount.

Product Development

Build and launch a new product or service line. Fund R&D, prototyping, and go-to-market without dipping into existing revenue.

Real Estate & Buildout

Secure commercial space, fund renovations, or upgrade your current facility. Fixed assets that increase long-term value.

The process.

Growth funding is more consultative than other products. Here's how it works.

01

Consultation

A funding consultant reviews your business, growth plans, and capital needs. This conversation shapes the strategy before any application is filed.

02

Profile Review

Your personal and business profiles are evaluated against lender criteria. If optimization is needed, we address it before submitting applications.

03

Lender Matching

Your profile is matched against our network. Applications are prepared to each lender's specifications — not a generic submission.

04

Fund & Scale

Offers are reviewed, terms are compared, and capital is deployed. If your goals require stacking, we coordinate multiple funding rounds.

Growth capital questions.

What's the difference between this and working capital?

Working capital is short-term funding (up to 18 months) for operational expenses. Growth capital is longer-term (up to 5 years) and designed for significant investments — new locations, acquisitions, large-scale hiring. The amounts are higher, the terms are longer, and the underwriting is more thorough.

Do I need collateral?

It depends on the amount and the specific product. Some growth capital products are unsecured below certain thresholds. Larger amounts may require collateral — real estate, equipment, or a blanket lien on business assets. Your consultant will explain the requirements before you commit.

What does a dedicated consultant do?

Your consultant is your single point of contact throughout the entire process. They review your business, shape the funding strategy, prepare applications, negotiate terms, coordinate stacking if needed, and manage the relationship post-funding. Fund plan members ($997/mo) get this included.

Can I combine growth capital with other products?

Yes — this is capital stacking. For example, you might pair a growth loan with a line of credit and equipment financing to cover all aspects of an expansion. Your consultant structures the stack so the combined debt load is manageable and the terms complement each other.

How long does the process take?

Growth capital typically takes 2-6 weeks from application to funding, depending on the amount and product type. SBA-backed growth loans can take 30-90 days. Your consultant will give you a realistic timeline based on your specific situation.

What if I'm not quite ready yet?

If your profile needs work before you're positioned for growth capital, that's exactly what our Optimize plan ($247/mo) is for. We build your profile until you meet the criteria, then transition you to the funding process. Many clients spend 60-90 days optimizing before applying.

We tried three different services before fundboo. The difference was they didn't just run letters — they built our entire profile from scratch and matched us with lenders who understood healthcare.
